World Environment Day Celebrations
Aim: To sensitize the students towards the need to conserve and restore natural resources.

The session commenced with a presentation by Ms. Rupasmita on the theme of land restoration, desertification, and drought resilience. Following this, our Dean Academics, Mr. Johnson Mathew, motivated the students to embrace the cause of living for a sustainable future.
Ms. Susan George, the Principal, emphasized the crucial role of the environment and the necessity of its conservation. Students were educated on the sustainable development goals and the vital role land plays in sustaining life and fostering biodiversity.
An online quiz was conducted after the session by Ms. Anila, with enthusiastic participation from the students. As part of the celebrations, teachers of HIS Padur led a tree plantation drive, where saplings were planted by the staff in the school campus.
Conclusion:
The day was filled with knowledge and enriching experiences for the students of grades 6 to 12. It served as a reminder of our shared responsibilities to protect and restore our planet and to work collectively to combat desertification and build drought resilience.
