A Theatrical Celebration: HIS Hosts Its 1st Intra-School Theatre Festival

On 19th November 2024, the auditorium of Hindustan International School, Padur, transformed into a stage of boundless creativity as the 1st Intra-School Theatre Festival took centre stage. With enthusiastic participation from students across the Karapakkam, Guindy, and Padur branches, the event was a dazzling showcase of talent, teamwork, and theatrical excellence.

The festival unfolded with delightful short plays by the budding stars of Grades 3 to 5, whose colorful costumes, witty dialogues, and vibrant performances had the audience spellbound. The magic continued as students from Grades 6 to 8 conveyed captivating narratives through mime, using nothing but their expressions, gestures, and impeccable synchronization. Finally, the senior students of Grades 9 to 12 brought the timeless works of Shakespeare to life with power-packed performances, dynamic interactions, and a touch of dramatic flair.

The valedictory function added an inspiring finale to the event, graced by the Dean of Academics, Mr. Johnson Mathew, Principal Ms. Susan George, and celebrated film director Mr. Michael K. Raja as the Chief Guest. The young performers were lauded for their incredible efforts, with prizes awarded to the most outstanding acts.

It left an indelible mark on everyone present, making it a cherished chapter in the school’s journey of nurturing artistic expression.
