Nelson Mandela Day

Nelson Mandela Day marks 100 years since the birth of Nelson Mandela (18 July 1918). The centenary is an occasion to reflect on his Life and Legacy and to follow his call, “make the world a better place”. We Hindustan International School – Padur , observed Nelson Mandela day including various activities which had the core essence of Freedom and Peace. Students were given a topic “Education is the most powerful weapon to change the world” and were made to express their ideas and thoughts freely. Drawing and collage competition was also held in order to bring out their free-will in most demonstrative and creative way. Children of kindergarten got to know about Nelson Mandela as a pioneer of peace and equality through colouring.
