EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO BIRLA PLANETARIUM – GRADES 6 TO 8

Exploration is the essence of science—and school trips nurture that explorer within every child

On 16th July 2025, 161 students from Grades 6 to 8 visited the Birla Planetarium, Chennai, for an enriching field trip aimed at enhancing their understanding of astronomy and space science.

The students enjoyed an immersive 3D sky show on celestial phenomena such as eclipses, constellations, and the solar system. They explored the Science on a Sphere, interactive mirror-based demonstrations, and exhibits explaining Earth’s atmosphere, solar energy, and mathematical patterns.

A visit to the Heart Gallery offered fascinating insights into human and animal hearts, blood circulation, and cardiac health. The science park and interactive displays sparked immense curiosity and scientific thinking. The trip was a memorable and inspiring experience, leaving students eager to explore the wonders of the universe.
