Diwali Celebrations 2023
‘Life is a celebration of moments. Cherish them all’
On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, Hindustan International School, Padur organized a vibrant and eco-friendly celebration on November 9, 2023. The entire school, filled with enthusiasm, came together to make this day memorable.
The festivities commenced with a soulful prayer at 9:00 am, setting a serene tone for the day. The Multipurpose Hall (MPH) was transformed into a visual delight, adorned with creative artwork made by students. The atmosphere was brimming with anticipation and excitement. The Dean of Academics, Mr. Johnson Mathew and our beloved Principal, Ms. Susan George graced the Diwali celebrations with their presence.
The students took center stage, presenting a diverse array of programs that showcased their talents and creativity. The primary and secondary sections wove magic through dance performances, captivating the audience with their rhythmic expressions. A special highlight of the event was a group of students presenting a compelling story drama, centered around the theme of “Celebration of Eco-friendly Diwali.” This thoughtful performance aimed to raise awareness about the importance of celebrating festivals in an environment conscious manner.
The musical talents of students from grades 6 to 9 were showcased in a special Diwali song, filling the air with melodious tunes that resonated with the spirit of the festival. The collective effort and harmony displayed by the students were truly commendable.
The Honourable Dean of our school delivered an energetic speech on the significance of an eco-friendly Diwali. She emphasized the need to celebrate festivals in a manner that respects and protects our environment.
The celebration not only provided a platform for artistic expression but also imparted valuable lessons on the importance of responsible and sustainable celebrations. As the program concluded, the sense of joy and unity lingered, making it a Diwali celebration to be remembered for its cultural richness and environmental consciousness.
