Annual Sports Meet 2020

Apart from commemorating victories, sports meets also aim at imparting lessons on sportsman spirit and camaraderie to Children.

Hindustan International School Padur, celebrated its Annual Sports Meet on 25 January 2020 on the sprawling grounds of the School. The aim behind holding the event was to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship and fondness for sports in Children. It was a day filled with fervour and exhilaration, amidst thrills and cheers.

The Chief Guest of the day, Lt Gen Bobby Mathews,Joint Director lit the ceremonial torch followed by the spectacular, impressive and well synchronized March Past of the four Houses. The Chief Guest presided over the oath taking ceremony and declared the Sports Meet Open. The Students displayed a wide array of energetic and bouncy sports events ranging from the Band display, Yoga, March Past, Track Events, Karate and Gymnastic display. It was a delight to see the excitement with which the Students challenged themselves to attempt a variety of races such as skipping race, hurdle race, relay, etc. The most fascinating aspect of the event was the splendid field drills, involving mass student participation. The Students displayed on the field, a riot ofvibrancy and radiance. The zealous Parents, gathered in large numbers, constantly applauded the enthusiastic young sports stars.Nelson Mandela House won the trophy for the March Past and also won the Overall Championship Trophy .The School playground rimmed with flags and balloons reverberating with the sound of cheers was indeed a day to be fondly remembered.
