Korean New Year Celebrations 2024
On January 12, 2024, Hindustan International School, Padur hosted a vibrant and culturally enriching Korean New Year festival celebration, involving students from grades 6, 7, and 8.
Grade 6 students showcased their musical talents by delivering a mesmerizing performance of a Korean song. The 7th-grade students took the stage with an elegant traditional Korean dance performance wearing the hanbok and using fans. Students also gave a presentation on Korean culture which helped the attendees gain a deeper understanding of Korea’s rich heritage.
Grade 8 students performed a dynamic K-pop performance. The lively and modern choreography showcased the global appeal of Korean pop culture.
The event was graced by the presence of our esteemed Dean of Academics, Mr, Johnson Mathew, Principal, Ms. Susan George and the dedicated Korean language teacher, Ms. Jin Sook Yun. The Deans speech further enriched the event, providing invaluable insights into the significance of cultural exchange and the role it plays in fostering global understanding.
The Korean New Year festival celebration was a resounding success, providing students with a unique opportunity to experience and appreciate various facets of Korean culture.
